How to Do Digital Scrapbooking & Storybooking
Things You’ll Need – Computer, high speed internet, CD or flash drive of your photos.
Instructions
Step One – Gather your photos whether on CD, flash drive or computer. If you have photos that need to be scanned you can contact me at www.lynsdesign.com. I provide Professional Photo Scanning Services. Or get your photos scanned somewhere in your area. Walgreens, Longs, Cosco, WalMart might provide scanning services.
Step Two – Go to www.lynsdesign.com. That will lead you to the Heritage Makers web page. Then sign up for your free account. Do some exploring around the site to familiarize yourself with the tools. Watch tutorial.
Step Three – After you have signed up and logged in. Up in the right hand corner where it says ADD PHOTOS, click and follow the directions for uploading photos to site. Now you are ready to go and start creating.
Step Four - Decide on a theme or idea for your book and start thinking of your story to go along with the photos. (ex.) Grandparents Love Story, Your Wedding, Military Hero, New Born Baby, A Family Hero, Before I Was Your Mother/Father etc….
Step Five - Decide what size book you want to create. Your book will have 21 pages. Additional pages are available for a minimal printing cost Books can be up to 99 pages.
Step Six – Check out the Template Galley for drag and drop projects.
1. Place your photos on the pages in the order you want them. You can move them around later.
2. Next pick your theme papers, embellishments to use and start creating your pages.
3. Hot Tip! There will be a green square around your photos when placed on page. Don’t stretch your photo to be any bigger than a yellow square. If a red square appears that means your photo quality won’t be good when printed.
4. When you preview your work, remember this is the internet and the preview will not preview at the same quality as your printed book will appear. As long as your pictures are in the green or yellow square you should have no problem.
· If you have any problems be sure to check in the Questions and Answers section of the Heritage Makers Website.
